Providing support to people in need of non-judgemental support, Exit Hate offers different types of support including 121 lived experience mentoring sessions, an online support programme and seeks to help people through the pain and damage, involvement in extremism can have on individuals involved and families with a loved one involved.
Building on this, Exit Hate also offers a regular online Drop-In session, for people to chat, connect and ask questions.
These online sessions are exclusively for individuals (families and formers) who have received, or are currently receiving, support from Exit Hate and are to offer a safe space for all attendees to explore various topics around radicalisation and extremism, but also to simply connect, so no-one feels alone.
Each session, a new conversation topic will be discussed, with attendees getting additional support resources.
In the sessions, attendees will have a chance to ask any questions they have and then receive support from an Exit Hate member of the team and other participants.
Providing real support to people in need, this is a space for connecting and sharing our own journey through radicalisation and extremism, chatting with others and simply listening to their experiences.
Encouraging all attendees to participate to whatever extent they feel comfortable, people can listen, chat, exchange text messages with the group, however people feel most at ease.
For anyone wishing to protect their identity, people can participate anonymously and instructions on how to do so can be shared with you directly, after people register to join.
The foundation of our online sessions is built upon compassion, understanding and education as the best way to challenge, understand and reduce extremism.
Our goal is for every participant to conclude the session feeling empowered, inspired, and supported, with a strong sense of hope and feeling off community.
Radicalisation and extremism impacts so many people.
It steals the voices of those that it touches.
Feelings such as fear, judgment and shame often result in people becoming reluctant to reach out for support and this then only damages people further.
If you are one of those people and you would like to know more about the support that Exit Hate offers then please, get in touch. You can email us at info@exithate.org
Nobody should go through this alone and you don’t have to. We are here for you.
