Protest Participation - Let's Stand Back & Think...................

I think it is important to address what is going on at the moment and have an honest conversation.

The rioting and protests that are happening all around the UK and affecting so many innocent people are nothing short of horrific.

Reacting to one act of violence from an individual with several acts of violence targeting multiple ethnicities, across our regions and destroying communities nationwide will solve nothing.

Those responsible claim they are fighting for the freedom for the UK, yet the only achievement of these protests is instilling fear in innocent people.

Britain is a multicultural set of nations, places where each and every one of us belongs and can call home, no matter what our ethnicity, religion or identity we have. A place where we can all live our lives.

Looking at what is happening, from talking to people involved in extremism, we can understand why people are angry and repulsed by recent events. We all are.

However, if you are thinking about attending one of these protests just ask yourself these two questions.

Why am I attending?

What will my presence at the protest achieve?

From talking to supporters, I am assuming that many will answer along the lines of “I am attending because I am angry about the violent actions against innocent people”.

OK, So you want to attend a demonstration, but who are you targeting? The majority of people who will suffer, will be Individuals of certain ethnicities and religions and these protests are terrifying innocent people.

So, let’s have a think about what you will do………………..

What will your presence achieve? Will you make a positive difference and improve the country? Will you achieve your goals? And do you think that these protests and riots will make people listen, The simple answer is no.

However what you will do is put yourself at risk of arrest, your photo may appear across social media and in the mainstream news and you may get the notoriety that some of those attending the protests desire, but at what cost?

Having a photo taken off you will be something that will be available for everyone to see, EVERY potential employer and EVERY family member and friend.

How will that photo affect how people look at and treat you and your family? Is it fair on them? Do they deserve to be treated differently because of your behaviour?

So, let me ask you this, before you act on your emotions, sit back and think about what you are doing.

If you don’t do it for yourself then do it for your family and loved ones.

STAY AT HOME AND DON’T GET INVOLVED. EXTREMISTS DON’T CARE ABOUT YOU. YOU ARE JUST A TOOL TO THEM, A PAWN TO BE TOSSED ASIDE AND LEFT BY THE WAYSIDE.

PUT YOUR FAMILY FIRST - They do not deserve any repercussions from your actions.

INVOLVEMENT IN EXTREMISM MEANS EVERYONE SUFFERS.
