As of today’s date, we have sadly, had our 2 counter extremist games on Roblox removed and also content blocked on TikTok.
Challenging extremism, we have to use images which represent either the historical time period we are looking at, or images that represent ERW (Extreme Right Wing) ideology and activity now and the damage it does to the victims of hate, those involved, their families and the wider community.
Sadly, for whatever reasons, some social media companies simply don’t see this and whether it’s because of AI or other reasons, valuable content is being removed.
Looking to respond to this, we have decided that won’t now be using a number of social media platforms and instead will focus more on putting content onto our website and also out via our e-newsletter, The Resilience Advocate.
Whist we understand this will reduce the number of people who see our message, small charities like ourselves cannot spend months creating content, only then to have the work removed, without even a conversation to get an explanation of what the content is about or its aims.
Undeterred, we will carry on, as we always will do at every hurdle, developing our resolve and focusing on our charities main aim - reducing extremism via education, compassion and understanding, helping people walk away from hate and families with a loved one involved.
